Hi Ollie,
I've had success with 2 webcams:
1) eZonics EZCam USB (CPiA module) - spits out RGB24 data
2) Logitech QuickCam Orbit (pwc module) - spits out YUV24 data
please keep in mind that you _will_ most likely need a separately
powered USB hub because most USB cameras draw too much power from the
board, bringing the supply voltage below the minimum threshhold for the
arm chip (not sure of x86 boards...).
Alternatively, you could try bridging the 5v USB jumper as shown on the
TS schematics.
The logitech camera is good because it has pan / tilt support.
What camera are you trying to use? With what application are you using it?
