Hi Sukhoi :)
I made quite a similar mistake with ordering a 7260 and thats the same answer they gave me. Anyway for your situation there is sort of a workaround.

I checked the TS 7300 and seemingly you have a lot of RS232s :) you can use RS232 to RS485 converter circuit to get what you want done. The conversion ICs are readily available and with minimal external circuitry you would be able to get it up and running.

Hi All,

I am new to TS-7300. But I did a mistake while ordering the board. I
did miss these components:-

#1 Battery Packed RTC
#2 Full Duplex RS-485
#3 On Board Temperature Sensor

I did mention with the TS, this is what the response:-

"The full duplex RS-485 or battery backed RAM can not be installed in
the field. You must return the board to us to reprogram after
installation. So, you can install them, but there is additional
reprogramming that we must perform.

The on board temperature sensor, can be soldered by anyone who has the
ability to solder and requires no additional programming"

I did incur the following bill:-

7300 board with 64 MB + Power Supply + Shipping to UK - 332 USD
Import Duty - 63 British Pounds
1 GB SanDisk - 85 USD (purchased locally)

The real pain for me is sending the board and getting it back (more
$$). Anyway, I can't blame TS guys for anything.

Could anyone suggest me any alternative or guide me to integrate the
RTC & RS-485 on my 7300 board (shall take care of Temp Sensor myself)?

Thanks,
Su37
