Hi,
I am trying to use the rs-485 option on com2 of my ts-7200.
I have checked that the option is installed at 0x2240_0000.
I also can change the COM2 mode register at 0x22C0_0000. I want the
port to run half duplex and 9600 baud.
Next I need to enable the RS-485 with their ioctl command. I am
using the debian developement board and the required headers are
already installed.
They give the following example code:
mcr=AUTO485HD
ioctl (fd, TIOC_SBCS485,&mcr);
Looking at the header files,it seems that the ioctl is setting the
rs-485 mode.
1) How do I derive the fd for com2?
2) What type of variable is mcr? Does it stand for master control
register?
3) does anyone have any sample code for setting up the rs485 and
then reading and writing to the port?
thanks,
Keith Stallings
