I'd like to boot my NetBSD system from its compact flash rather than
burning the kernel image into flash.
It appears that TS7200's RedBoot doesn't recognize the BSD file
system.
So...
1. What file systems does the stock TS7200 RedBoot recognize?
2. How hard would it be to build a RedBoot that did recognize 4.2BSD
file systems.
I've been poking at RedBoot trying to get it set up so I can see
some of these things for myself, but it seems that I'm stuck in a
Cygwin terror movie. I'm going to keep exploring myself, but I'd
appreciate any expert advice.
As for NetBSD, I couldn't be happier. It's been great - everything
from building the kernel, writing my device driver to porting
applications has gone smoothly.
Thanks,
Bill Landolina
