I wouldn't say I've "used" it in a robotic application, but I'm
currently working on building a robot based on the TS-7260. I went
along the same lines planning on using a gumstix, but my robot is
needs a camera, and the only camera I could find for the gumstix is
the CMUcam, which is not really meant for pictures (I only need the
picture, not the image processing)... and the camera is WAY too expensive.

With the TS-7260 having USB ports and being able to use a cheap USB
wifi card, the overall cost comes out to be about the same as the
gumstix with the cf addon plus cf wifi card. Then the camera with
decent picture quality isn't even an option with the gumstix. And the
switching PS on the 7260 is amazing... it runs on 7.2V batteries, 12V
AC adapter, and whatever else... no need for an external regulator,
and it's efficient!

So far I've gotten the board set up immediately connecting to the
wifi, then another program that drives the digital I/O ports to run
the stepper motors... so I'm able to wirelessly walk the robot around
anywhere there's wifi available. This is all running off a 7.2V RC
car battery. I've still got some bugs to work out, but it seems to be
a very high quality board with a lot of features.
