Hi all

I am having a problem on my ts-7250 board when it boots up with the LAN cable plugged in. As soon as it starts executing the kernel it fails (please see traces below). Sometimes it boots OK, but on other times I really struggle to get it going.

If I unplug the cable it works all the time.

I found 2 emails in the group which suggest the following ways to fix the problem:

1. Use a stronger power supply.

2. Add a fix to arch_decomp_setup() - Some bootloaders don't turn off DMA from the ethernet MAC before jumping to linux, which means that we might end up with bits of RX status and packet data scribbled over the uncompressed kernel image. Work around this by resetting the ethernet MAC before we uncompress.

I have tried 1 so far and am also planning to try 2.

Does anybody have another suggestion of what could cause the problem?

Thanks

Wouter
