There are 36 available DIO pins.

There are 16 DIO pins available that are implemented in the FPGA these
are grouped in 8 bit ports. There are 20 DIO pins that are implemented
in the EP9302. These are accessed via 32 bit registers, although they
are grouped in 8 bit ports... Currently the bus cycles are ~110ns...
The FPGA is currently running at 75 Mhz with a custom bitstream we
could have the FPGA toggle at 200 Mhz.

> Is there a RTAI patched linux kernel image available now?

Yes, the ts8 RTAI patch can be applied to the ts10 kernel.
