You would probably do well with connecting the 3.3 volt outputs from the 
  arm board to an inverter array chip. Probably the 74LS05 (?? if memory 
serves correctly). What I would do is run the output from one inverter 
to another and you effectively have a buffer.

Similarly, try to find buffers with 3.3 volt outputs for any input 
signals you might be reading.
