hello,

another secure alternative through an ssh remote shell could be the rsync.

If you want to automate a daily transfer, you can have on your development host a cron job that pushes the data to the SBC once per day.
rsync has a smart algorithm that transfers only the bytes that have changed
further you can compress the transferred bytes making the tranfer/sync even faster.
