The power supply provide 5 volts, which is connected to two low cost linear 
regulators, one for 3.3 volts and the other for 1.8 volts. The linear 
regulator drop the voltage by dissipating the excess voltage as heat (not 
efficient but cheap).

The EP-7260 does not use linear regulators. It uses switching regulators. They 
are a more expensive solution. They don't dissipate the extra voltage as 
heat. They use inductors to convert the voltage to current.
