[ts-7000] busybox 1.01 and insmod: query_module error

I built busybox-1.01 using the ts-linux cross toolchain, and it works
except that when I try to use insmod I get the following error:

insmod:

To make this application work, you will need to recompile
BusyBox with a kernel supporting the query_module system call.

insmod: Not configured to support old kernels


I have it built without versioning and of course with support for
2.2.x and 2.4.x kernels.  I'm stumped.

Any ideas?  Does busybox need some sort of patch to run on ts-linux?
