The Gentoo site you list above seems rather complicated and doesn't seem to
lend itself to organizing information into succinct pages -- instead it seems
to be geared towards setting up forums and groupings of separate messages.
Can PhpBB be made to look very different than this?

I think the idea that T had was to have a place to organize information on
the TS-7000 in a more customizable way than is currently available in the
Yahoo group pages. I don't want to try to duplicate what's in the Yahoo
group already, and I certainly don't want to set up any kind of a situation
where we end up needing to duplicate postings in two different systems and
locations.
At least as far as I can tell, phpbb doesn't seem to be the right design
choice for the intended goal.

I do like the fact that phpbb allows for moderators, however. Some of the
wikis are working on or already have varying access level based on login
properties, which is similar.

Phpwiki only seems to be in the Debian Unstable branch right now, which
means that it doesn't get review by the Debian security team. I'm looking
into alternatives.
