Hi All,
Tired of trying to make apt-get work fine on TS-7200, I had the very
bad idea of trying NetBSD on it.
I knew FreeBSD, so I did think it would be an easy try.
I had to dig some information to make it work on the 16MB flash. I've
sent an email to , but before I got a response, I
figured out how to find the netbsd kernel and it worked.
Well, after fighting with pkg_add (there is no pre-compiled packages
for the version of the port - 3.0), but even the packages from the 1.6
version are not complete. There is not even "apache", so I was
figuring out how the NetBSD toaster did work...
Then, I tried pkgsrc tarball and tried to install programs the
"freebsd" way I knew. The packages actually won't compile because of
the lack of swap. If I used swap, there would be no space for the
tarball on my 512MB CF.
The question is: how can I load & flash the "vmlinux" that came with
the board (and where to find it).
No offense at all for the Technologic Systems, but the documentation
in general (mainly in Linux) sometimes reads "try it... if it work,
please let us know" :-)) The point is, you need time sometimes you
don't have to make things work.
