It looks like I will finally get the go-ahead for designing an
embedded system. One of the questions we need to answer is the choice
of an LCD controller. We're looking at a graphics LCD display by
Hyundai. Hyundai will put whatever controller we spec (or none at
all) on the board. So.... What's a good choice with good linux
support? We mostly need text with some minimal graphics, and speed is
not an issue. The current controller we use has about a 2 sec. screen
update time and that has not generated any comments - but we're
experiencing about a 10% failure rate in the field over the life of
the unit, which is not good. So durability, reliability, and
maintainability are important.
Any suggestions/recommendations, either pro or con?
TIA,
--Yan
