If I understand right, you are trying to get a ppp dial-IN line to your
ts7250? Have you setup your modem to autoanswer? Have you told ppp that
the line is /dev/ttyAM0 or 1 ? Or are you front ending ppp with some
version of getty so that you have to login first before pppd is invoked.
So many questions - so little information to go on? But I doubt it's a
board question. Have you read the linux ppp howto? Google for it.
