Dear all,
After searching the group, seems there will be risk if overwritting
the redboot without the "daughter board", so I decided to make eCos
RAM application for testing purposes.
As found from Frank's message, the original eCos package need to be
patched in order to make RAM image support, and the information I
could get is to copy the ep93xx for RAM support, but I can't get
successful for my trial.
I tried to make a ROMRAM "Hello eCos world", it works fine in GDB
environment, I can "break main" and "step", but nothing output in the
gdb window when passing the line "printf". If I try to "load" the elf
image, the original redboot will warn me:
*** Abort! Attempt to load ELF data to address: 0x00040094
which is not in RAM
I tried some modification to the LDI files to solve the address
problem but still nothing show for the "printf" line.
1. Is it normal if nothing being show in gdb window for the "printf"
line in the application "Hellow eCos World"?
2. What configurations/"load" options etc is needed in order to make
"Hello eCos World" work with the original redboot?
2. Is there any information to patch eCos in order to compile RAM
application and "load" to the board?
Thank you very much in advance!
