Hi Jim, > Is there a way of mounting the on board flash once the CF has > booted? mount /dev/mtdblock/1 /path/to/mount > Is it possible to save the existing zImage off somewhere before > it's deleted/overwritten with the new kernel? You can grab just the kernel, but its probably easier just to backup the whole redboot partition(this is where the kernel is). FYI the first partition contains the bootrom, the second contains the filesystem, and the third contains redboot. So to backup redboot(and your current kernel) run the following command. dd if=/dev/mtdblock/3 of=redboot.bak //Eddie Yahoo!
