I believe they are just 0.1" square headers.

Check out Digikey part # S2011-36, or one of it's siblings
with different pin lengths. Just remove 4 rows with a pair
of snips.

Yes, I used some of those on my prototype boards.  I was hoping to find a mail order supplier of the connectors for using more than one board at a time.
