Alex,

I've unsuccessfully tried to install the snapshot driver under both
Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04. Like you I ran into problems with the headers,
though I made sure I had them installed. I suspect something changed in
the kernel (headers) at some point, but I'm not proficient enough to
debug this any further.

I wanted the snapshot driver, as it adds support for the SPC900NC that I
own (same as Adrian's). Using the distribution driver however, I do get
basic video. Just can't change any settings...

It would be nice to get the snapshot driver working though :)
