Subject: | [pwc] No /dev/video0 after kernel upgrade to 2.6.17-1.2187_FC5 |

Greetings, my first posting to the list :) I've been using the pwc driver now for some time, for my SPC 900 nc webcam, without any problems. I've just upgraded my kernel (using the standard yum update) to 2.6.17-1.2187_FC5, re-compiled the pwc module according to instructions in the INSTALL file, and suddenly there's no /dev/video0 (or /dev/video-anything). Re-booting didn't help... So I downgraded back to kernel 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5, re-compiled again, and everything's fine. Is this a problem specific to 2.6.17-1.2187, I wonder, and will it go away with the next kernel release, am I now stuck at 2.6.17-1.2174, might there be a problem with the driver, or is there another problem I've overlooked?
