Hi all,

I installed pwc-v4l2-20060425-042701 for my Philips SPC 900NC webcam, but I
can't seem to get v4l2 interface working. When I try :

mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:device=/dev/video0:width=640:height=480

I got :

Playing tv://.
Selected driver: v4l2
 name: Video 4 Linux 2 input
 author: Martin Olschewski <>
 comment: first try, more to come ;-)
Selected device: Philips SPC 900NC webcam
 Capabilites:  video capture  read/write  streaming
 supported norms: 0 = webcam;
 inputs: 0 = usb;
 Current input: 0
 Current format: YUV420
v4l2: ioctl set format failed: Invalid argument
Selected input hasn't got a tuner!
v4l2: ioctl set mute failed: Invalid argument
v4l2: ioctl query control failed: Invalid argument
v4l2: ioctl set Saturation 0 failed: Invalid argument
FPS not specified in the header or invalid, use the -fps option.
No stream found.

v4l2: ioctl set mute failed: Invalid argument
v4l2: 0 frames successfully processed, 0 frames dropped.

though mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l:device=/dev/video0:width=640:height=480
works fine, also tried with KDETv and it works fine when I use v4l interface
but crashes with v4l2 interface.

Is there a problem in those apps or there is a problem with pwc? Comments
appreciated.

Regards,
ismail
