I'd like to second this as well.  Perfect is the enemy of good enough,
so getting this driver into the kernel tree is a priority.  Of course,
you'll have to have a thick thick skin as well, since they don't pull
punches when they see problems with code.

Just getting something newer in there will help, and will get *alot*
more exposure and bug fixes as well.  

I've personally given up on my old Logitech web cam and put it on a
Windows box for now, but since I don't have Philips docs, and I'm not
really a programmer, nor do I have an urgent need for this
device... I've put it aside for now.
