[pwc] Orbit/Sphere and Broken Pipes

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem to:

Essentially, I can set/reset angles fine, but not query the status.  
Example code:
struct pwc_mpt_status s;
int ret = ioctl( handle, VIDIOCPWCMPTSTATUS, &s);
perror("STATUS");
std::cout << ret << std::endl;

Produces:

STATUS: Broken pipe
-1

pwc 10.0.7
kernel 2.6.11-1.27_FC3smp

Can anyone shed any light on where I'm going wrong?
