No the code in the kernel, is from the first patch i've wrote. I plan to send
a patch but only when i can export raw compressed stream to userland (it's
just another format). But now i'm on severall projects (gaim, wifi,
personall, ...), time is short :-)

Yes, it's the easiest solution. I can provide a patch for the 2.6.12, but for
me, i just do a make install each time, i compile a kernel, and this works.
