As an update, I thought I'd share my first recording using the DIY hydropho= ne - molluscs feeding in a rockpool. I ran the recording through Sonic Visualizer and recorded a screen grab to = give the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D0ThrlvRBt4Q https://www.youtube.com/watch= ?v=3D0ThrlvRBt4Q Quite pleased with how the recording came out. Although one modification I'= ll need to do is to add some ballast to the hydrophone, as it was floating = to the surface of the water, so I had to physically hold it under the water= . Not so bad in the Summer, but that'll be rather cold on the hands in win= ter! Regards, Brian. |
