 Spend a weekend in the field recording the rich environment of the Sierra =
Nevada and learning from expert speakers and hands-on workshop sessions. Lo=
dging is in tent cabins or your own tent or camper, all meals provided. =0D
 Presentations will include Jim Metzner, producer of the award-winning Puls=
e of the Planet radio series and podcast, Jennifer Jerrett, Audio Producer =
for Yellowstone National Park, Alan Krakauer from U.C. Davis on his recordi=
ng and analysis of the Greater Sage Grouse, Mauricio Schrader, birding by e=
ar instructor, and a panel on adopting a park chaired by Steve Sergeant, pr=
oducer of the WildeBeat podcast series. =0D

 We will record in at least four field locations including wetlands, meadow=
s, and alpine forest. =0D

 Workshops include Microphone Directivity where we compare different microp=
hone directional patterns and different stereo arrays, and Make Your Own Wi=
ndscreen, with supplies provided to build an economical version of this ess=
ential field recording tool. =0D
