Hello,=0D
=0D
Currently I am recording using a Sony ICD PX440 Digital Voice recorder, alo=
ng with an MVO VXR40 shotgun microphone. However since the voice recorder =
only records in .mp3 format, I feel that I will be losing some sound qualit=
y.=0D
=0D
So I am looking for recommendations for a replacement digital recorder. On=
e of my projects on the back burner is to build a stereo pair of mics using=
 EM172 capsules.=0D
=0D
Recorders I have looked at online include the Zoom H4nPro, Tascam DR-40 and=
the Olympus LS-14. However comparing specs online has resulted in me feeli=
ng somewhat confused about what would be the best device.=0D
=0D
I'd be looking to spend =A3180 absolutely maximum. I can't see myself ever=
using XLR microphones as they seem somewhat expensive!=0D
=0D
So what do people recommend?=0D
=0D
Thanks,=0D
