Hello everybody -=0D

I recently found this group and am truly amazed with the knowledge and ing=

I consider myself a beginning nature recordist even though I have been rec=
ording for a little over six years. It all started when I developed tinnit=
us and my doctor recommended searching for sounds that my ears "liked" and =
listening to those when I was trying to relax or go to sleep. I found hund=
reds of audio files on the internet but only a few of them really helped. =
So, I purchased an Olympus LS-10 and started trampling through Northern Cal=
ifornia to make my own.=0D

A few months ago I decided I wanted to take my recordings to a higher leve=
l so I purchased a Roland R-44, Sennheiser ME-66 with a blimp, and a matche=
d set of Rode NT5's which I use in a ORTF set up. (I'm still really fighti=
ng the wind with the NT5's). I will be making a set of contact mics soon a=
nd looking forward to putting those to use.=0D

Needless to say, I look forward to being a member of the group!=0D
