1. A test with a Samsung S6 and Amazing mp3 Recorder

I hope I don't offend anyone by posting this.
Maybe someone finds this test recording made with Amazing mp3 Recorder
on a Samsung s6 interesting. It is not very professional but the results
were far better than I expected.
The background noise came from the heavy trafic some hundreds of meters
away.
Best regards,
Arnthor

Each year, between Xmas and the first week of the new year, on one appointed
day, for just a few hours, American robins gather on our property literally by
the thousands to feed on the ripe and fermented toyon berries that bloom on our
hillside. For some reason, it seems to be the place they favor most in our
area. This excerpt is a one minute example of what we experience when we walk
out the door on that appointed day each year.
It is particularly lovely to hear this year, because last spring and summer,
there was absolutely no birdsong in our area. Yes folks, for the first time in
my 77 years, it was a truly silent springdue, in part to the record drought
weve been having in California, and most likely by global warming causing
spring to occur at least 2 weeks earlier than it did 25 years ago when we first
moved to this area. Enjoy and wonder

I forgot to add that this was recorded Monday, 4 January 2016, at 13:50hrs PST,
using a MKH30/40 MS rig and a Sound Devices 722.
