David, It seems to be reflections from the surface (or any other reflective surfac= e) would be antiphase only at certain frequencies for a given distance, or = at certain distances for any given frequency and cannot accurately be descr= ibed simply as 'in antiphase'. Moreover, given the speed of sound in water = is roughly four times faster than the speed in air, the wavelengths would b= e roughly a quarter as long, not four times as long. Russell Dawkins |
