Hi folks. I just wanted to provide a link to an ongoing project that might be of interest to the list: http://www.zachpoff.com/projects/pondstation/ [1] Pond Station is a floating solar-powered platform with stereo hydrophones that is constantly monitoring the activity in a pond in NY State, USA. The website has details, a live webstream, and some archived sounds. If anybody has some insight into identifying these sounds I'd love to hear about it. I'm learning as I go. (Pardon the distortion and interference at some times. The electronics are a work in progress and there are multiple radio transmitters in close proximity to the hydrophone preamps. The system will change as I have time to listen and identify areas of improvement.) Thanks for listening. - Zach Links: ------ [1] http://www.zachpoff.com/projects/pondstation/ |
