Protecting your gear from theft

Just a friendly tip for everyone who is going out recording this summer and=
risks leaving their equipment in the car. Pacsafe makes a lockable mesh-re=
inforced bag big enough to hold quite a bit of equipment: http://www.amazon=
.com/Pacsafe-10480104-Travelsafe-12L-GII/dp/B00E8BJKQC

It isn't theft proof, but for the average thief who is simply breaking wind=
ows or using a screwdriver to shred a lock, it could easily make the differ=
ence.

They also sell separate bag protectors: http://www.pacsafe.com/travel-acces=
sories-wallets.html?cat=3D89

I've used one in conjunction with a duffel bag at the beach to protect stuf=
f when we're in the water=97just lock it to something immobile.

I just read the horror story from Brian Dasilva about having everything sto=
len out of his car in Hawaii back in 2010 and thought this might help preve=
nt similar stories in the future.
