Contact Microphones

Subject: Contact Microphones

What has been your most creative use of a contact microphone? Especially to
record animal sounds.

And specifically, has anyone ever used a contact microphone to record the
hammering of a woodpecker on a hollow branch? That's on my top priority list
for 2015.

I think this could be a fun topic.

 Thanks,

 Ben
