Thank you all for such amazing comments!
Few of you asked about my kit:
For microphones placed in the grass meadow it was Zoom H6 and couple of
Primo EM172.
For the rest it was Sound Devices 702, my phantom-to-electret power
converter and again, matched Primo EM172.
I simply love those mics - low noise and not such a huge price, so I am
not afraid to stick them in various holes I find on my trips.
I actually started making robust "realization" (not sure this is the
correct word, not a native speaker :)) of them - with metal bodies,
high-quality Mogami cables and Neutrik jack, if anyone is interested:

I actually hear it quite obviously, especially in the transients - they
are muffled and definitely not as crispy as the original WAV.
I can tell 128kbps MP3 (what Soundcloud uses) from WAV in any blind
test, but with higher bitrates I have problems. 320kbps I found
virtually identical for my ears.
Thank you very much for all the detailed comments. The trolleybus
recording was actually meant to capture the imperfections of the
vehicle, since they will be replaced very soon with modern, quieter
devices. I wanted to preserve their atmosphere for future generations
:).
Anyway, thanks again - great stuff!!
Arnthor Helgason:
Thank you for the lovely comments! I have answered your question about
the kit in the beginning of this e-mail.
Daan Hendriks:
Thanks. Pity with the binaural effect, maybe our ears have very
different shape (or we have different head size). My "amateur" friends
were actually quite impressed how it captured reality. I let them listen
on my Beyerdynamic DT-880 Pro for the best experience :)
Thank you all and have a beautiful day full of lovely sounds!!
