Headphone back noise on SONY PCM 10

Hi all,

I hear this loud hissing when I connect my headphones to my SONY PCM 10, some 
times it persists and I cannot record or occasionally during the recording I 
hear this sound for a short time. Initially, I thought it was the headphones 
that were culprit. So  I have changed so many types of headphones all of them 
seem to be having same problem. So now I think the fault is with the recorder. 
Does anyone have this kind of problem? How did you get it solved?
