Any suggestions? Price really isn't an object, but if it could be less tha=
n or equal to the price of the Sennheiser ($500), that would be great. I su=
spect I don't need a parabolic dish as I am not gunning for one particular =
bird, but am trying to record the entire soundscape. Is there anything else=
 that I might need?

You could do well with a Telinga Soundscape mic on a tripod (if Klas will m=
ake it, it's not on his web site), or a pair of Telinga Clip-Ons on your sh=
oulders (disclosure: I am a Telinga dealer).
