The Sony D50 is also a good choice.

Subject: [Nature Recordists] Small Recorder

Hi all,

This topic has probably already been discussed without end, however, I'd
like your current thoughts on what the best handheld recorder is on the
market at the moment? I'm interested in a recorder that has very good
built-in mics and pre-amp, has a user-friendly interface and is rather smal=
l
and light. Good battery life would be a bonus :) Yes, I know I'm asking for
the holy grail, however, since we know that that does not exist, what is th=
e
closest thing? It doesn't have to have XLR inputs since I've got my Marantz
for use with external mics. So just something small and light with good
internal sound.

Thanks,

Eric
