I can tell you what we used years ago in the BBC Film Unit before hydrophones such as JrF http://jezrileyfrench.co.uk/ were available. We waterproofed a small moving coil "lavalier" mic using a condom, sealed closely around the cable usually with a blob of silicone cement. We made a point of putting the packet of condoms on our expense sheets and they always got passed as they were "one use" devices. :-) David Brinicombe |
