Hi all,
I've broached the subject of these mics before, and Umashankar confirmed th=
eir quality, but having bought and installed the correct battery for mine, =
I have a problem. On connecting this directly to my LS-10 MIC socket, havin=
g checked reception in PAUSE mode, I hit for a second time to RECORD. Then =
for a second or two there is a very nasty noise, following this all appears=
to be well but with a very low recording level. I went onto the web and (a=
s I just found out) re-discovered a post that I don't fully understand; it'=
s almost certainly my ignorance.
Could one of you tech guys have a look at post #10 on the following link, a=
nd give me your interpretation please? Note that I have been using the orig=
inal cable with the mentioned wiring.

p.s. I was using the CP-4 shotgun capsule, not either of the cardioid or om=
ni capsules, which I'm hesitant to try until I'm sure I'm not doing any dam=
age due to a cable problem.
