I would recommend you get the Rode Blimp, it is flexible as you can put many
different sized mics and will serve you well. It like the Ntg-2 have 10 year
warranties. I have both.
Do you want stereo soundscapes or a mono song?
The recorder I have no experience with ( I have the Tascam DR-680) some good
headphones will also be needed. I prefer circumaural like the Beyerdynamic
DT770 others prefer the Sennheiser HD25s.
