Hi!
Depends on the frequency. Any recorder that can record above 44.1khz/48khz =
will be suitable, and alot of the readily available consumer recorders will=
 be able to record 96khz, or even 192khz.
If you need an external mic, the WM61-a capsule can still be had for a reas=
onable price, and is quite linear up to 100khz.
