to learning. Hence, any direction and advice for a beginner is appreciate=
d. Below is my related info:
Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
General Interests: to support local LandTrust organization in its monitorin=
g of protected areas. Also create/explore soundscape recordings. Experient=
ial education.
Specific Interests: learn research techniques in soundscapes (or ecoscapes=
) including equipment set-up, analysis, and related knowledge.
Equipment: Zoom H4n recorder. Extra mics: M-audio Solaris & DMR MXL. Wor=
king on a homemade parabola. Various stands and mic cables.
Software: free version of Raven sonograph. GarageBand for basic editing.
Experience with soundscapes: beginner.
Somewhat related experience: I have done some research on playing music in=
nature. Have also done some recording of live flute music in outdoors and=
recording of flute music to nature slideshows.
Occupation: Outdoor Educator at Wilderness Rhythms (& part-time supply tea=
cher).
