To hold a lavalier mic in position, I fixed an elastic band around the knob/handle, and stretched it around the lid; not only did it hold the mic in position, it also isolated it from handling noise. The results were pleasing. I was able to hear what my son was saying through double glazing. With a little refinement - better mic and careful mic positioning - I'm sure the results would be better still. There is a parabolic lampshade above above the rabbits' living quarters, so I could possibly use that rather than suspending an additional contraption above them. |
