I bought some lavs from Micronic007 a few years ago. Initially I was
very happy with the results (was completely new to sound recording at
the time), but after doing a comparison between them and the mics built
in to the pocket recorder I was using:

als
I just stopped using them.
This was the only comparative test I did, with another recorder the
results might have been better. Also the capsules provided at that time
might be different to the ones they are selling now.
Certainly the recordings shared by Simon (sounds.images) sound fine -
though the ones I have listened to so far have all been of fairly robust
sound sources.
