I just built a pair 25 mm electret mics and was testing them with my transf=
ormer input zoom H2.=A0 was recording rain, and after fifteen minutes they =
had become completely drenched and started crackling. I switched them off a=
nd they worked fine next morning. I have dropped a nakamich 300 in a river =
once and the same thing happened.electret condensors survive quite well.
