I have had the original version (1) running on my old XP machine, but this = puts me back in the saddle with my Win7 64-bit laptop. Just what I needed! I=C2=A0find that Au does everything I need for stereo sound file work and i= t is quite suitable for composing multi-track sound works. The 'scientific filters' and the parametric EQ are superb for processing na= ture and ambient field recordings. I have used Audacity, but for me it falls short of what I can do with Au.
