My explanation of the phenomenon goes like this: each amp has its own rando= m noise, so summed together they add 3 dB of noise. But the two-amp configu= ration increases the signal by 6 dB, so there's a 3 dB improvement in signa= l-to-noise. I use the same explanation for the salutary effects of Klas's multiple caps= ules (in Telinga products). Though Klas sees it a different way, the result= is the same. -Dan |
