Hello all, I've just posted some recordings that me and two fellow sound recordists (Andy Riley & Augie Restivo) made of a beehive in early September. We captured the bees from many different angles, but I've only included what were in my opinion the most interesting results: the sound of the bees entering and exiting their hive (recorded with DPA 4060s) and a recording of the inside of the hive (using two Sennheiser 8040s inside the top compartment). You can listen to it overhere: http://daanhendriks.co.uk/blog/the-sound-of-35000-bees Hope you enjoy! Daan |
