Here's an estimate. Adjust figures to suit. Geek time. :-)

50V phantom supply at 10ma is 500milliWatts. Assuming 100% efficiency
- which is nonsense - generating this from a 5V battery tales 100ma.
In practice it may pull 150ma per mic. Two mics would run down a
1000maHour battery in just over 3 hours, not counting a recorder or
mixer drain as well. This is about what four 1.35V AA rechargeable
cells would supply.
