The bimonthly WFAE Newsletter is now online for September-October 2012 at: http://wfae.net/newsletter/ <http://wfae.net/newsletter/> This issue includes a feature article by Albert Mayr on defining the field of acoustic-ecology; a personal response to The Global Composition conference by Carmen Braden; and a special tribute to Journal Editor Hildegard Westerkamp by Nigel Frayne. This multimedia publication is a supplement to WFAE's annual Soundscape: The Journal of Acoustic Ecology. Its mission is to make available in a timely manner, news, events, opportunities, and announcements from the WFAE Board, WFAE Affiliates, and other sources. |
